The allure of wealth and its power to acquire is often the greatest pitfall. Instead of granting freedom, money becomes an inescapable burden, relentlessly pursued yet always just beyond grasp.
I’ve oftentimes pondered the bleak and sorrowful path my life might have taken had I been exceedingly rich. Yes, it would’ve become when it comes with the evil accompanying its endless pursuit.
Could true happiness coexist with such absence of character that is the product of an undisciplined mind?
Money, residing closer to the realm of darkness than heavenly kingdoms, seems to preclude any notion of peace in its excessiveness.
Many are lured and unwittingly surrender their souls to the clutches of money, becoming ensnared to the point where genuine peace eludes them.
Little wonder the misconception that the faster one chases money, the better their prospects, when in reality, the opposite is oftentimes true.
What is disheartening about this is to realize that this ceaseless pursuit will endure until the end of time.
They thought that they’re taken everything when they stripped away everything. Unknown to them my boundless energy and drive have remained intact. It’s this that keeps me constantly moving forward.
It marvels me that once I envision it, it draws nearer and nearer, becoming truly mine. So, I still wonder what my life would have been like if I had been spoiled by the materialistic pursuit of money.
