Strategic Encirclement: The End of CBN’s Collusion and Misinformation
  • PublishedJuly 23, 2024

Notwithstanding the blatant illegality of the CBN’s falsehoods and purported forgeries in its attempts to obstruct Mefona’s eNaira trademark application in the U.S., their audacity has reached its limits.

As Sun Tzu emphasized in “The Art of War,” mastering the terrain and outmaneuvering the opponent are essential for victory. Despite its aggressive tactics, the CBN has failed to adapt to the strategic complexities the company has introduced.

This lawsuit, mirrors the strategic brilliance of Hannibal’s encirclement of Rome or Alexander the Great’s tactics at the Battle of Gaugamela. Like a skilled general anticipating every move of the adversary, Mefona has outflanked the CBN, severing its options for advancement or retreat.

While the CBN relied on financial power to secure temporary victories, Mefona’s focus has been on winning the war through strategic acumen and investigative prowess. Their reliance on deceit and financial might has only achieved fleeting successes at a staggering cost, leaving them cornered and powerless.

This ongoing lawsuit has significantly challenged their previous strategies. Their earlier confidence now seems to be diminishing, and Mefona’s strategic position continues to strengthen. The future remains uncertain for them as the legal proceedings progress.

Mefona is determined to ensure that this case against the CBN becomes a seminal case study for law and business schools worldwide, demonstrating how strategic foresight and ethical conduct can overcome entrenched corruption and misinformation.

  • Well-written pieces, and I also like your graphic representations. I guess you are talking about the Central Bank of Nigeria as the “CBN.” It’s really unfortunate for such an institution to be caught up in matters and cases involving property rights, especially in a foreign country. Well, I can’t be more surprised; I’ve heard a lot about their falsehoods.
